Maike Marnet purchased the farm/forest nursery in 2021 and named it Holden Lake Farm. It had always been her dream to own a large acreage or farm, and finally the day came! The farm still works with the forest industry to store seedlings over the winter, and has adapted to include a greenhouse that dries local clay for cosmetic use and a greenhouse for bedding plants and veggie starts, leases 8 acres to a farmer who grows rye and barley and helps with cropping 8 additional acres of hay for Maike, hosts honeybees from Saskatchewan in the autumn and spring seasons, allows off-leash dog walkers on 15 fenced acres of forest, and now grows hothouse vegetables as well!
