Using our state-of-the-art juicer, which handles 2,000 lbs of apples every hour, we capture the crisp, clean taste of the orchard in every box. We press weekly from August to November and monthly the rest of the year, storing the juice at 0°C at our facility in the Cowichan Valley to keep it as crisp and refreshing as the day it was pressed.

McBarley's
Victoria and David Robinson bought McBarley's in 2009. We were looking to invest in a thriving business that could benefit from our 25 years of experience in retail management. In McBarley's, we found a knowledgeable, dedicated team working with loyal customers in an exceptional facility. David set to work learning Ray's beer- and wine-making tricks, and I focused on updating the store's interior.We bought new equipment to improve Cider, Beer, and Wine Making and automated Bottling Processes. What we have now is a fresh, clean facility with a young, energetic staff who continue to produce award-winning wines and beers.
Our custom built juicer arrived from Germany in the fall of 2017. It can wash, grind, juice, pasteurize & bag 1500lbs of apples/pears per hour. In addition to pressing apples for hard cider, we are able to offer a juicing service and press your fruit into fresh pasteurized juice. The juice lasts 6 months without refrigeration!
Our fruit waste is collected by local farmers who use it for livestock feed and composting.
