The Blue Oyster mushroom variety stands as the most prolific strain, delivering abundant yields of remarkable mushroom clusters. These clusters grow impressively large, showcasing impeccable mushrooms. In their youthful stage, the mushrooms exhibit a vibrant blue hue, which gradually transitions into a graceful grey-brown shade as they mature, depending on the lighting conditions. The flavour is complex and earthy with a hearty, meaty texture.
Foragers Galley recommends using your kit within two weeks of purchase, though its shelf life can be increased to 6-8 weeks if kept refrigerated.
Myceliated substrate block - the ingredients used to grow your mushrooms are simply legume hulls and sawdust. The growing medium is 100% compostable and makes amazing fertilizer.
Humidity tent - mushrooms thrive in a high humidity environment, so we've designed a simple yet effective "greenhouse" solution using the lid of your Grow Kit.
Spray bottle - keep your mushroom hydrated! Included in your kit is a 50ml misting bottle to spritz your crop twice a day.
Detailed instructions - we've made the growing process simple for you. Everything you need to know is included, no special equipment or prior knowledge is necessary.
