Hot breakfasts for cool mornings! These are stuffed with chorizo, eggs, onions, cheese, and jalapeños for a hearty start to the day.
4 frozen ready-to-bake empanadas (560g total).
Ingredients: puff pastry (pastry flour, lard, water, salt), chorizo pork, eggs, white onions, cheese, jalapeños, Spanish paprika, salt, pepper, spices.
Baking Instructions:
-Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Place the frozen empanadas on a lightly greased or parchment-lined baking sheet.
-Brush the empanadas with egg wash (beat one egg with 1 Tbsp water - it gives the empanadas their beautiful golden colour! Toss leftover egg wash in tomorrow's omelette or scrambled eggs :)
-Bake from frozen for 25-30 minutes, until the crust is golden brown. Eat immediately, or at room temperature (refrigerate if not enjoying within two hours of baking).
