Traditional Christmas pudding, made with vegetable suet and spices imported from England.
Shelf-stable and best when matured - for full flavour, save them for Christmas! Puddings are best enjoyed before December 2023.
Delivered in a sealed container and wrapped in colourful cello, these make a great gift. They are particularly wonderful when matured, so they'll be just right by Christmas-time. The puddings can be warmed inside their containers for serving.
To serve: These have already been steamed for six hours, so they are fully cooked. Just steam or microwave (covered, on a plate) until warm, then serve.
Ingredients: vegetable suet, breadcrumbs, nutmeg, cinnamon, brown sugar, mixed spice, assorted dried fruit, apple, orange, lemon, brandy, stout.
Suitable for vegetarians.

Four Seasons English Cakes
As a chef from England I had on occasion the honour of catering for the Queen mother, the Duchess of York, and some celebrities.I brought my business, Four Seasons English Cakes, to Canada 16 years ago. Through traditional recipes I bring back memories either from grandparents, parents, or just watching English dramas. You can find a large selection of these cakes, tarts, and cookies at the Duncan Farmers Market most weekends.
My traditional Christmas Pudding is a recipe from my own grandmother handed down to me as a girl, reminding me of the love and fun we had making this together.
I have made them every year since.
