Santa Clara Villa Sarchi Coffee - 12oz

Out of stock

"Ricardo Zelaya is one of those coffee producers whom you can rely on year after year for consistently fantastic coffee.

Located essentially right downtown in Antigua, Guatemala, Finca Santa Clara is one of the most efficient and progressive coffee farms we've visited.

Super sweet, with notes of stone fruit and chocolate brownie. Grown on the higher elevations of the Santa Clara farm by Ricardo Zelaya."
-Drumroaster

Region: Antigua Valley
Variety: Yellow Bourbon
Altitude: 1750m
Processing: Washed - raised bed dried
Harvested: March 2022

12 oz (340g). Beans are roasted (and ground, if desired) within 3 days of your delivery.

Compostable packaging!
Just remove the zipper and valve, and the Biotre material (a plant-based air barrier) will completely break down in commercial composts.
If home composting, it will break down by 80% in about 60 days (there is a corn-based foil liner that takes 2 years, which could then be removed from your compost once the main portion has completed composting).

Drumroaster Coffee

Drumroaster Coffee is located in Cobble Hill, BC. Geir Oglend has been in the coffee scene on Vancouver Island since the late 70s, owning a number of cafes and learning to expertly repair espresso machines and successfully build sustainable, community-focused, vibrant businesses. Drumroaster was founded in 2007 with his children, Courtney and Carsen, who grew up working in cafes; and his wife Patricia, who perfects all the recipes for the treats sold in their cafe. Carsen focuses on ethically sourcing and purchasing exceptionally nice coffees, and Courtney conducts all the barista training.

"We've found in our travels sourcing coffees that the largest impact to improving the livelihood of coffee-producing communities is simple: pay more for coffee. Of course, this comes with the expectation that rewarding higher quality by asking for more diligent picking, processing, and storage, costs more. It has become obvious that rewarding exceptional producers with higher prices and allowing them to improve year after year is a sustainable and mutually beneficial strategy.

As a coffee drinker, you can be sure that the coffees you purchase from us are sourced ethically, from producers who care as much as we do about the quality in your cup." (from drumroaster.com)
