The Stand on Herbert
What started out as a small Family Urban Farm stand to help them out during the first year of the pandemic, rapidly grew into something they never imagined! The Stand on Herbert is run solely by Sarah and Kyle Bellis from their home-based fully licensed and inspected food production kitchen.Kyle worked in the local restaurant industry for over 10 years and graduated from the Vancouver Island Culinary program. He brings his bold flavours and innovating recipes to menu items weekly. Sarah is a baker of passion and has always enjoyed baking since a young age! To her Baking is love! The two never could have imagined that a lifelong dream could come from something like the pandemic.
"We love that we can create something together as a team and share it with the people in our community! The excitement we see every Saturday morning at The Stand, of Fans both new and old makes the long hours and hard work SO worth it!!"
The Stand offers a new assortment of breads such as sourdough, focaccia, brioche sandwich loaves and buns. You will find pastries and sweets such as rustic fruit galettes, cinnamon buns, scones and other delicious artisan treats every Saturday. All their creations are made from scratch with real ingredients and locally sourced when available!
